The 90s miniseries my dad made me watch had better pacing than any 10-episode drop this year
Last weekend my dad dug out his old VHS copy of a 1994 Civil War miniseries from the basement. I rolled my eyes pretty hard since it was 6 hours long. But the way it built tension over 3 nights felt totally different from the shows I binge in one sitting on Sunday. The episodes had natural stopping points, not cliffhangers every 12 minutes. It made me wonder if the streaming model of dropping everything at once is actually ruining how we feel suspense. Has anyone else gone back to older miniseries and noticed the pacing just hits better? Or am I just romanticizing the whole VHS era?

Wow, my dad still thinks Blu-rays are new tech, so that VHS battle is already lost lmao.
