The night my fire alarm went off during the season finale of The Wire

That reminds me of the time my neighbor's smoke detector went off right at the end of the Super Bowl a few years back. Whole block came outside thinking something was on fire. Turns out he was just burning frozen pizza and set the oven to broil by mistake. Standing there in the cold watching the last two minutes on his phone through the window was the strangest group experience. Nobody left even after the fire trucks showed up and cleared the place. The game ended and everyone just sort of wandered home, no idea who actually won.

Laughing so hard at this because my Xbox died mid-boss fight once and I legit sat in the dark for ten minutes before I realized the power was out everywhere. Fire alarm was screaming the whole time and I just sat there staring at the black screen. Priorities, man.
