Watched all 6 seasons of a show about people bidding on storage units and I want my 41 hours back
My wife went out of town for a week in January and I made a pact with myself to finally watch something with a plot. Instead I found a show about folks bidding blind on abandoned storage lockers in California and I watched 6 seasons in 5 days. That is roughly 41 hours of my life spent watching a man named Dave guess what is inside a tarp. The show tricks you because every episode ends right before they open the big unit, so you tell yourself just one more. Around season 4 I started fast forwarding to the reveals and realized the reveals are just a guy finding a rusty scooter and saying he can get 200 bucks for it. I could have rebuilt a transmission in that time. Has anyone else fallen into one of these shows where nothing actually happens? Looking for something with an actual story before my wife gets back.
Six seasons in five days is wild, man. The trick is that cliffhanger before every open, they got you hooked on nothing. Watch Breaking Bad or The Wire, actual stuff happens and you won't feel robbed after.
