Why does nobody talk about the 'skip intro' button ruining the vibe of a show?

I was watching this crime drama last week, like episode 7 of a 10 episode season, and I realized I've been skipping the intro on every single show for like the past two years. Then I caught the full intro on accident and it actually had little clues hidden in the opening credits that I missed the whole time! The music sets the mood too. Now I feel like I'm cheating myself out of the full experience. Anyone else actually watch the intros or am I just being weird about this?

Episode 7 is usually around the middle of a season, not the last few episodes before the finale. Most shows have 8 to 13 episodes per season now. But I get what you mean, skipping the intro made me miss the soundtrack changes they did in The Americans season 5.

Respectfully, gotta disagree here. The whole point of a "skip intro" button is to get you into the actual show faster, and most intros are just the same music and animations every episode. If a show hides clues in the intro, that's on the show for being sneaky, not on you for skipping something repetitive. Plenty of great shows like Breaking Bad or The Wire had simple intros that didn't change, and nobody missed anything by skipping them. Sounds more like a clever Easter egg than a ruined vibe, honestly.
