Serious question, when did you realize you were doing something wrong for years?
I used to obsess over my resume for every job application, thinking a perfect format would land the interview. But after 40 rejections in 3 months, a hiring manager in Denver told me my skills section was buried under fluff. Now I cut it to a bullet list of 5 wins and my callbacks doubled. Did anyone else have a moment where they realized their approach was totally backwards?

That "fancy margins" comment is REAL, job boards scan for keywords not design.

Cut it to a bullet list of 5 wins" - that hit close to home. I spent a good year formatting my resume like a wedding invitation before realizing nobody reads past the first paragraph anyway. Guess my fancy margins were doing more for my ego than my career.

Tbh I used to add a photo of myself in workout gear thinking it showed energy, big mistake.
