The DMV wait time app was wrong by 4 hours, shocking nobody

Last Tuesday I had to renew my license in Austin, so I checked that state DMV app that shows live wait times. It said 25 minutes, I got there and the place was packed like a concert, people standing in the hallways. I ended up waiting 4 hours and 10 minutes, and when I finally got to the counter, the clerk told me the app hasn't been updated since 2019. The kicker is the app still has a 4.2 star rating, which honestly felt like a bitter truth about how low our standards are. Has anyone else had a government app fail them this badly, or is my city just special?
