The trainer who said my dog's growling was 'just talking' cost me $400

My vet tech friend insisted her rescue pup growled the same way and it was fine, so I ignored my border collie's low growl at the park for 2 months. Then she nipped a kid on Saturday in Tulsa and now I'm paying for a behaviorist and leashing her everywhere. Has anyone else trusted a friend's 'expert' take and regretted it later?
