My group spent 2 hours on one chapter and I think we may have ruined the whole meeting format
Last Tuesday our group in Sacramento met up to talk about chapter 7 and we somehow ended up going until almost 10pm on just that one part. Usually we cover 3 or 4 chapters in a meeting and everyone leaves happy, but this time we really dug into one scene about a broken boat and people had a lot to say. What surprised me was that 6 out of the 8 people said it was the best talk we have had all year, even the two who barely read past that chapter. So now I am stuck wondering if we should just pick one chapter a month on purpose and go deep, or if that would drive the fast readers crazy. Has any group here tried slowing way down like this, and did it stick or did people start dropping out?
