That surprising stat about banned books I stumbled across

I was prepping for our next club meeting and read that over 1,600 books were challenged in 2022 alone, which is way higher than I expected. Found that number on the ALA's site and it really threw me. Has anyone else run into stats that shifted how they pick books for discussion?

Jumped on that stat myself and it honestly blew my mind too. @jana_jones, I ended up checking the list and realized half the books I read last year were on it, so now I'm just like "well guess I'm part of the problem" lol.

Did you see the list of most challenged books? Makes you wonder what people are actually reading.

Oh makes you wonder what people are actually reading" yeah apparently they're reading all the good stuff, which is kind of hilarious when you think about it.
