Vent: My book club told me my discussion questions were too easy
At our meeting last Tuesday for 'Klara and the Sun', I asked if anyone thought the Father was a good person. Sarah, who's been in the club for five years, said my questions just led to yes/no answers and didn't make us think. She suggested I try asking about specific moments, like the scene with the broken sun in chapter 4. So for our next book, I wrote down three questions about exact pages, like why a character lied on page 112. It made the whole talk way better, but now I'm nervous about picking the right scenes. How do you all find the best parts of a book to debate?

Right scenes" sounds like you're prepping for a test.

Actually the phrase was "right scenes" from a book about memory tricks. It's about linking facts to mental pictures, not just test prep. That method helped me remember my grocery list last week.
