I told myself I'd never talk to my brother again. Then I spent 6 hours stuck without jumper cables.
Had a huge blowout with my older brother Jake about 18 months ago over how he handled our mom's estate stuff. I said I was done, burned that bridge completely. Then last Tuesday my car battery died in the parking lot of the Kroger on Elm Street. I sat there for 45 minutes waiting for roadside assistance and they never showed up. Jake happened to pull in for groceries, saw me, and walked over without saying a word. He popped his hood, pulled out cables, and had me jumped in less than 10 minutes. We didn't talk about the fight, just nodded at each other. Has anyone else had a situation where a simple everyday thing made you rethink a burned bridge?
