Cut off my best friend of 15 years after she showed up at my dad's funeral in Phoenix

Just not built for sad stuff" is wild. That's like saying you're not built for breathing, my friend. Everyone is built for sad stuff, that's kind of the whole deal with being a person. I lost a buddy of 12 years over way less honestly, he skipped my mom's wake to go to a concert and then acted like I was the weird one for being upset. Eight months of quiet sounds like a fair trade to me. You didn't lose a friend that day, you just finally saw who she was.
