Cut off my brother after he borrowed $3,000 and ghosted me
Three years ago my brother Tim asked for $3,000 to fix his truck so he could keep his delivery job. I loaned it to him, he said he'd pay me back $100 a week. He paid twice then stopped answering my calls or texts. Last month I saw him at our mom's house and he acted like nothing happened. I told him flat out we're done until he pays me back, and I blocked his number. Has anyone else had to cut off a sibling over money and actually stuck with it?

Hear me out - maybe you're being a little too harsh here. Yeah, he owes you money and that stinks, but is it really worth burning the whole relationship down over three grand? I mean, family is forever, you know? He's your brother, and cutting him off completely seems like a lot when you could just keep bugging him about it every time you see him at your mom's house. Sometimes people get in over their heads financially (like way more than they let on) and it's easier for them to just hide than face it. Just feels like there might be middle ground between letting it slide and going full no-contact.
