Hit 12 years of zero contact with my older brother last month and it still feels weird to count

I didn't even realize it had been that long until my mom mentioned his birthday and I did the math in my head, has anyone else lost track of the years and then felt it hit them all at once?

Yeah that's exactly what happened with me and my cousin... @nancyn69 made me realize it's more common than I thought.

Same exact thing happened with my sister, I thought it was maybe 4 years but it had been 8. Wild how your brain just stops counting after a while.
