That line about it feeling like "a weight lifted" really hit me. I had a VERY similar thing happen with a guy I'd known since middle school over a bottle of whiskey he finished without asking. It was maybe $40 but the disrespect was the real issue, not the money. Honestly, cutting that friendship loose was one of the best decisions I ever made because I realized he'd been taking advantage for YEARS.
