That $350 couch I bought off Facebook Marketplace was a nightmare to move out
Honestly, I thought I was saving big by grabbing a used sectional for $350. It looked fine in the photos, but the thing weighed a ton and the seller didn't mention the frame was cracked underneath. By the time I got it home and realized the damage, the seller blocked me and I was stuck with it. Ended up spending another $80 on a dump run fee and a friend's truck to haul it away. What convinced me to cut ties was the hassle of trying to fix it myself it just wasn't worth the headache. Has anyone else gotten burned on a cheap furniture deal that ended up costing more in the end?

Oh man, that's rough. I got got on a "vintage" dresser once that looked solid in the listing but turned out to be basically particle board held together with hope. By the time I got it upstairs, one leg just snapped off and the whole thing fell apart. Spent way more on replacement hardware and glue than the thing was worth, plus I had to pay someone to haul the mess away anyway. It really stings when you think you're being smart with your money and it backfires that bad. Did you have to take the couch apart just to get it out the door, or was it a full-on wrestling match?

Oh man, the leg just snapping off is brutal... I had almost the same thing happen with a coffee table I got for $50. Got it home and one of the legs was held on with just a single screw that was already stripped out. I tried to fix it with wood glue and new screws but the whole thing was wobbly and unstable. Ended up tossing it after a week and buying a new one for $120 at IKEA. Lesson learned for sure, sometimes cheap is just expensive in a different way.
