The week I cut off my brother for good after 30 years of nonsense

Last June I finally ended things with my older brother after he showed up drunk to my daughter's wedding and made a scene at the reception. He spilled red wine on her dress and told the groom's mom that our family had money problems. I told him to leave and haven't spoken to him since. The next three days were weirdly peaceful, like I could finally breathe. Has anyone else had a family member pull something at a big event that made you walk away for good?

Honestly I used to think cutting off family was too harsh no matter what. But reading about him showing up drunk to your daughter's wedding and spilling wine on her dress, that's just...
