Rant: My tenderloin chain almost cost me a finger on the bandsaw

Was breaking down a whole beef tenderloin in Wichita on a Tuesday and the chain slipped into the blade, grabbed my glove, and shredded the safety guard before I hit the kill switch, so has anyone else switched to cutting chains by hand even if it adds 10 minutes?

Won't a sharp knife and a steady hand be safer than trusting that chain every single time?
