The $8 boning knife from the flea market outlasted my $120 one
Picked it up in Nashville last month just to try, figured it'd dull in a week but the blade holds an edge crazy good for basic stuff. Anyone else find random cheap tools that beat the fancy ones for real work?

Man, that's the story of my life right there. It seems like the more companies charge for a "pro" label, the more you're paying for the name and marketing, not the actual quality. My best pair of work gloves came from a dollar store bin and they've outlasted two pairs of big brand ones, so I totally get where you're coming from. Makes you wonder what else we're overpaying for just because it's shiny and popular, right?
