An old electrician in Dallas told me to stop using wire nuts on solid copper

He said to use Wagos instead, claiming they're faster and safer. I figured he was just trying to sell me something, but I tried a box on a ceiling fan job last month. Took half the time and nothing came loose when I tugged on it. Has anyone else switched and regretted it later?

And the thing with Wagos is they really do hold just as tight if not better in my experience. I was worried about them popping off over time but after a year of use in some pretty dusty boxes I haven't had a single issue.

I'm glad to hear it worked out for you, man. I switched to Wagos about a year ago after a buddy talked me into it and I haven't looked back since. Makes me wonder why I fought with wire nuts for so long.
