Blew $400 on a 'certified resume writer' and got a worse resume back

I hired someone from a popular resume service last month and they basically just rewrote my bullet points with fancier words that made no sense for my field. My interviews actually stopped after I started using their version because recruiters kept asking what I meant. Has anyone else had luck fixing a resume that a pro messed up?

Just redo it yourself, keep it simple.

Idk maybe just scrap the whole thing and start from scratch with your own bullet points.

Oh totally agree with @finley_gonzalez49 on the "start from scratch" idea. I tried that once on a project that was just not working and it saved me so much time and frustration in the end. Sometimes you just gotta hit reset.
