Can we talk about the "fake it till you make it" trap in tech interviews?
I spent 6 months studying leetcode and faking confidence for coding interviews, landed a job at a startup in Austin, and then crashed hard my second week because I couldn't actually build their database queries. Nobody tells you that bluffing your way into a role just sets you up for getting FIRED fast. Has anyone else gotten in over their head this way and found a real way to catch up before the boss notices?

Six months of leetcode is six months of not learning SQL.

The "six months of not learning SQL" part really hit me honestly. I used to think grinding leetcode was building all the skills you needed, but you're totally right - that's just time you could have spent getting good at actual database work that pays the bills.
