Got a surprise from taking a free online project management course last month

I signed up for that Google project management certificate thing on Coursera just to shut up my brother who keeps saying I need to 'get organized' for my landscaping business. Figured it would be boring corporate stuff, but the part about breaking big jobs into smaller tasks actually helped me finish a backyard patio project two days early. The client was so happy she tipped me $200 extra. Has anyone else picked up a random skill from a free course that changed how you work?

Yeah exactly @marywilson, that YouTube tip about construction scheduling is golden. I watched a similar one that showed how to stagger material deliveries so you're not tripping over piles of lumber all week. It's crazy how a free video can change something you've been doing the hard way for years.

That patio project tip about breaking things down is legit, it saved me a ton of headache when I redid my own deck last summer. Random YouTube video on construction scheduling did the same thing for my workflow.
