Hot take: I got a $22k raise by sending one boring email every Friday
So I was stuck at the same pay for almost 3 years at a logistics company in Columbus and I was getting pretty bitter about it. My manager kept saying he would "look into" a raise and nothing ever happened, which I am sure a lot of you know the feeling. Then a coworker told me about this dumb simple thing she did, which was send her boss a short Friday recap email. Just 4 or 5 bullet points on what she finished that week, no bragging, no fluff. I felt like a total kiss up doing it at first, but I tried it for 6 weeks straight. When my review came around I printed out every single email and walked in with a folder of proof. Got bumped from $61k to $83k in one meeting. My boss even said he had no idea I was doing that much stuff. So what do you all do to prove your work when nobody seems to notice?
