My boss told me I was 'too junior' for a project last week, then gave me the same work anyway

So I work at a marketing agency downtown, been there about 2 years now. Last Tuesday my manager said I wasn't ready to handle a client presentation because I needed more experience. Then Friday rolls around and she's out sick, so I end up doing the whole thing anyway. Client loved it. I dunno, has anyone else had a manager hold you back for no real reason?

Wait, they actually thought that would save money? That’s the kind of move that backfires hard. I can just see the overtime costs from the mess that follows.

Short term savings rarely outweigh long term costs, @william_garcia.
