My manager's 3-word feedback changed how I do all my reports
Back in March my boss at the Phoenix office wrote "too much detail" on my weekly status update. I used to write 4 pages breaking down every task. Now I do one page, top 5 bullets, and only flag blockers. Thing is, my coworker says I went too far the other way and now I look lazy. She thinks bosses expect the full picture so they can trust you. But my manager actually thanked me twice for the shorter format. Has anyone else gotten feedback that felt like a 180 turn, and did you stick with it or find a middle ground?
