Self-taught beats certifications for most IT hiring, here's my proof from Tampa

Honestly, everyone pushes for CompTIA certs but I've hired 4 people in the last 2 years without any of them, just solid homelab experience and GitHub repos. One guy built a whole PXE boot setup for $200 in used parts and solved our imaging problem in a day. Anyone else find that real projects outweigh paper credentials in actual interviews?
