Started keeping a 'brag file' of my wins at work after a mentor in Atlanta suggested it six months ago

When annual review time came around last week, I pulled out that folder with all the dates and numbers and it made writing my self-assessment take less than twenty minutes instead of the usual two days of digging through old emails.

Two days digging through old emails? That is insane lol.

500 emails deep and I'm pretty sure I've relived my entire 2019 life story in the process.

Honestly, that "two days" thing really got me. I read a study somewhere that said managers spend an average of 15 hours just digging up stuff for reviews. Totally wasteful. @joel_clark37 you're not alone in that 2019 rabbit hole, happens to the best of us. Ngl, the brag file idea is genius, especially if you jot down the numbers right when they happen.
