Wasted $400 on a career coaching program that was just motivational videos
Signed up for "Career Climber Pro" back in February thinking they'd give me actual job search strategies... instead it was 8 weeks of watching the same guy tell me to "believe in myself" over and over. No real advice on resumes or interviews, just fluff. Has anyone else burned money on one of these coach things and found something that actually works?

A positive mindset helps but you still need real job search steps.

Those motivational video types are a total racket. Same guy in a different button down shirt telling you to visualize success while your resume sits there collecting dust. Those programs prey on people who are already feeling stuck and desperate. You're better off watching a free YouTube video on interviewing or spending that cash on a real professional to review your resume. Karen is right, call your credit card company and fight the charge, tell them it was false advertising.
