Hot take: Always said glue joints were weak until one held up my entire bookshelf.

Now I'm rethinking all my joinery methods and could use some tips on when glue is TRULY enough.

My friend tried to glue his wobbly table leg back on. It stuck fast but now the table leans the other way.

Oh man, that "stuck fast but now the table leans the other way" is the perfect summary of every DIY fix I try. You get so focused on one problem you accidentally create a whole new one. I spent an hour fixing a squeaky floorboard once and ended up making the door across the room stick.
