I always mocked laser levels, now mine lives in my hand

After renting a cheap laser level for a kitchen remodel in Portland last month, I saw it square up a 12 foot run of upper cabinets in under an hour, something that would have taken me three tries with a chalk line. Has anyone else made the switch for smaller residential jobs, or am I just lazy now?

Right, because nothing says "craftsmanship" like a laser beam doing all the thinking for me. My chalk line is now just a fancy cat toy holder, I guess. Guess I'll just have to pretend the laser is doing the heavy lifting while I sip coffee and watch it work.
