I told everyone pocket holes were overhyped until I framed a closet in Denver last month
Been doing joinery the old way for 15 years. Always thought pocket holes were for weekend warriors. But my buddy dared me to try his Kreg jig on a closet shelf unit and I used it for all 40 joints. Everything lined up perfect and I finished the job in 3 hours instead of 6. Still not sold on using them for furniture but for framing out closets? I'm converted. Any other diehard traditionalists changed their mind on something after giving it a real shot?

40 joints in 3 hours" is insane. Same thing happened to me last month with a pantry.

I mean, I get what you're saying @ryan_shah38, but I kinda see it differently. Rolling that many in that time feels more like a fun challenge than a problem, like a test of speed or skill. Maybe I'm just weird, but I'd be impressed more than worried.

Right there with you piper, @ryan_shah38 might've just been low on weed.
