I tried to cut a circle with a jigsaw and ended up with a hexagon.

Was making a wooden wheel for a kid's toy and my cuts went all over the place. The shape looks more like a stop sign than a circle. What's the trick to keeping jigsaw lines smooth?

Man, that's the universal jigsaw experience right there. The trick is to not force it and let the blade do the work, almost pivoting the saw instead of pushing it straight. I see this everywhere, people rushing the process and fighting the tool instead of working with it.

Oh man, been there. I freehanded a circle once and it looked like a potato. You really gotta go slow and just... guide it, not drive it.

Tell my potato-circle it's a toy now. Guess I'll just pivot my way to a new career in abstract art.
