Just had a talk with an old framer that changed how I think about speed
I was helping this guy named Mike frame a basement in Cincinnati, and he said 'slow hands make fast work' after I rushed a corner and messed it up. He showed me how he sets his nails with just two precise hits instead of five sloppy ones, and by the end of the day we were ahead of schedule. Has anyone else had a mentor say something that totally flipped how you approach a job?

Saw a carpenter once try to apply that "slow is smooth" thing to driving a forklift. (Spoiler: it did not end smoothly for the pallet of drywall.) Guess some lessons only work with the right tools in your hands.

But slow hands just means precise hands, that forklift guy was probably just bad at his job.
