Picked the 120 grit belt over the 80 grit for that oak door job

Thought the finer grit would save me sanding marks, but I spent an extra 45 minutes per door just to get the old finish off. Anyone else find themselves burning time by skipping the aggressive stuff first?

Made that EXACT mistake last month on some pine cabinets. Ripped through three belts before I gave up and grabbed the 60 grit like I should have done from the start.

Hear hear, @elliot_gibson27 is spot on. Learned that one the hard way myself.

Sharp belts cut faster than time.
