Question about multi-tool blades for pulling staples

I was at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Pittsburgh last week and saw a pile of lumber with hundreds of staples still stuck in it. The volunteer said they just toss anything with staples because nobody has time to pull them all. Has anyone found a multi-tool blade that actually zips through staples without bending the tip on the first try?

The 72 inch long Diablo carbide blade is the only one that worked for me, but i still snapped two of them on the same pile of oak flooring. I found that if you hold the tool at a real shallow angle and skim across the staples instead of trying to dig them out, the tip lasts way longer. Still had to give up and switch to a pry bar on the third batch though.

Tossing whole piles of lumber just because of staples? That's wild. I don't think people realize how much usable wood gets thrown away for something so fixable. I've had decent luck with the Diablo carbide grit blades, they chew through staples way better than the normal metal cutting ones. The trick is to go slow and let the blade do the work, not push hard. Still, bending the tip on the first staple is a real pain, I've snapped a few blades that way.

Friend of mine lost two blades in one afternoon that way.
