Swapped to track saws after a bad circular saw day in Phoenix

Used to lay out plywood with a circular saw and a straight edge. Spent 4 hours cutting sheets for a cabinet job in Phoenix and messed up 2 panels. Bought a track saw last spring. Now I cut alone, no clamps, clean edges every time. Anyone else make the switch and never look back?

Track saws are great and all, but what's the fun if you're not sweating through your shirt by 7am just to watch one crooked cut ruin your whole day? Phoenix heat builds character, right?

Track saws might take the "fun" out of sweating through your shirt by 7am, but honestly I had enough character building for a lifetime. I messed up a full sheet of birch plywood once with a circular saw in August humidity, and that was it for me too. Now I set up the track on sawhorses, make one pass, and the edge is dead straight with no splintering. I still sweat, but it's from moving fast on purpose, not from fighting a warped blade. And when I'm done, I pack up in half the time and actually have energy left to clean up the shop. No regrets.
