That cabinet hinge that snapped on me mid-install this morning

I was putting the last door on a kitchen remodel in Buffalo yesterday and one of the euro hinges just cracked right down the middle. No warning, no weird pressure, it just gave out when I went to close the door. I had to pull the whole thing back off and drive 20 minutes to the supply house to grab a replacement. Anyone else have hinges fail on them out of the blue like that?

Yeah those are usually pretty tough, think you might have gotten a bad batch or something.

Wait, a bad batch of THOSE? I've never had a single issue with them in ten years.

Bad batch" could mean a storage issue too, not just manufacturing.
