Downtown walk vs the bus loop, the lights hit different at 5:45am
I got tired of waiting 20 minutes for the 7 bus in the cold so I walked the 1.2 miles from Union Station to my office. Turns out the alleys near the old print district smell like fresh bread from the bakery on 4th, and the sunrise makes the glass towers look like they're on fire. Bus route just goes under the freeway and the windows are tinted, you miss the whole city waking up. Has anyone else found a commute stretch that completely filters out the bad part of your town?
