I paid $60 for parking validation I never used downtown

Paid $60 for parking validation at that garage on 5th and Main, turns out the restaurant I ate at validated for free and I only found out when I saw the receipt in my pocket the next morning, has anyone else gotten burned by those validation kiosks that just take your money?

Dude that totally sucks, I got charged $8 at a machine that was supposed to give a free first hour lol.

Dude that totally sucks" is right, that's a rough way to start a parking experience. I've been burned by those free first hour signs myself more than once. It's almost like they design those machines to be confusing on purpose, hoping you'll slip up and pay. Eight bucks for an hour is highway robbery, especially when you were expecting to pay nothing. I hope you at least got a refund or a store credit for the trouble. Stuff like that really gets under my skin.
