The $180 parking ticket that made me ditch my car for the bus

Got slapped with a $180 ticket downtown last Tuesday because my parking app glitched and I didn't check the new 2-hour rule on 5th Street. That same week I added up what I spend on gas, insurance, and parking near my office, it was like $340 a month easy. Now I take the 7A bus and honestly, watching the skyline from the top deck while everyone else hunts for spots feels way better than I expected. Has anyone else done the math on their car costs and just switched overnight?

Wait, are you seriously telling me a single ticket convinced you the bus is better than having a car? I mean, yeah, the math on paper can look rough, but what about grocery runs or visiting your parents on a Sunday? I feel like you might be underestimating how much a car bails you out when the weather's gross or you're just tired of standing at a stop.
