The $60 parking garage gamble near the arena saved my night
Last Friday I had tickets for the concert at the Forum and tried the cheap lot 3 blocks over for $15. Big mistake, that walk took 25 minutes through a sketchy underpass and my car got boxed in for an hour after the show. Ended up paying $60 at the official garage attached to the venue, but I was on the 405 in 10 minutes flat. Anyone else just eat the high upfront cost to skip the post-event traffic mess?

Man, same thing happened to me at a Lakers game last season. I thought I was being slick saving $30 in some random lot by the train tracks, then sat in dead stop traffic forever while everyone from the official garage just rolled out. Now I just bite the bullet and park as close as possible, even if it hurts. The extra cash is basically paying to keep my sanity intact.
