The old diner on Elm turned into a vape shop in 4 months flat.

I used to walk by Pete's Diner every morning for 3 years and grab a coffee and a donut, then one day it was just closed with a sign saying 'under new management'. Now it's a vape shop with those neon lights and the same old cracked tile floor that makes me feel like the neighborhood lost its soul. Anyone else watch a local spot change into something completely different and feel kinda hollow about it?

Another piece of the town I grew up in just gets replaced with something that doesn't care about who used to be here.

Man, @the_jennifer, that hits hard. Same thing is happening on my old street, the corner store turned into a vape shop and nobody even blinked. It's like the memories just get bulldozed along with the bricks.
