The orange cat at the 24 hour laundromat on Foster finally let me pet it after 3 months

I do my laundry every Sunday night at that place on Foster Ave because it's always empty, and this scrappy orange tabby has been watching me from the dryer for months. Last night it just walked up and rubbed against my leg while I was folding my jeans, which felt like some kind of weird city badge of honor. Has anyone else bonded with a stray in their neighborhood like this or am I just reading too much into it?

Three months just to let you pet it? That cat's got standards higher than most landlords in this city. Good for you for earning its trust though, stray cats don't hand out free affection to just anyone. Consider that orange tabby your official laundromat greeter now.

Oh, actually I'm a property manager, not a landlord. Small difference but it matters.
