Why does nobody warn you that finding a decent late night diner in a new city is a 3 hour job
I moved to Tucson two years ago and last Friday I spent almost 3 hours just trying to find a diner that stays open past 10pm. I drove past four spots that Google said were open and every single one was dark or closed early. I ended up at a Denny's off the highway and the coffee tasted like it had been sitting there since 2019. It honestly made me miss my old neighborhood spot in Cleveland where the owner knew my order and the lights never seemed to turn off. I get that this city kind of shuts down early, but how is there not one solid 24 hour place near downtown? Somebody point me to a real spot before I give up and just eat gas station hot dogs at midnight.
