Appreciation post: my neighbor helped me clear my garage in 45 minutes flat
She showed up with a system for sorting donate vs. toss that saved me from crying over a box of old magazines. Has anyone else found that a second person makes decluttering way faster than going solo?

Heard from my friend Lisa that she tried the same thing with her closet and her sister came over. Ended up tossing twice as much as she would on her own, said it was like having a second brain to keep her from that "maybe I'll wear this someday" trap. That thing @the_jana said about the brain compass is spot on, you just need that extra voice to call it like it is.

Did you catch that one study about how having someone else there actually changes your brain's "this is trash" compass? I swear it's true, having a buddy keeps you from getting sentimental over stuff you'd normally keep for no reason.
