Rant: My vacuum cleaner died mid-session and I'm not even mad
Last Saturday I finally decided to tackle the hall closet that's been a black hole of junk for like 3 years. I pulled everything out, sorted it into keep, donate, and trash piles, and was feeling super proud of myself. Then I grabbed my old vacuum to clean up the dust bunnies and it just made this awful grinding noise and stopped working. I was so annoyed at first, but then I realized I'd been holding onto that vacuum because it was a gift from my mom, even though it sucked at actually sucking for the last 2 years. It forced me to finally admit that keeping broken stuff out of guilt is dumb. I walked it straight to the curb and ordered a new one that night that actually has a HEPA filter. Anyone else ever have a busted appliance accidentally help you declutter?
