Downsized my book collection and it hurt more than I expected
Moved last fall from a 2 bedroom to a studio in Portland, so I had to pick between my 40 year old cookbook stash or my sci fi paperbacks. I kept the sci fi because those were my dad's originals from the 70s, gave away about 60 cookbooks to a local buy nothing group. The weird part is I don't miss the recipes, I miss seeing the spines on the shelf every morning. Has anyone else gotten rid of something they thought they'd never care about, then felt the loss way later?
