The donation bin at my gym made me rethink my whole closet in Cleveland
I saw a sign there that said 'give what you haven't worn in 6 months' and it hit me that I'd been dragging 30+ shirts across three moves for no reason. That rule is brutal but fair, so I'm asking everyone here, do you actually stick to a time limit or do you make excuses like 'I might wear it someday'?

Honestly, that 6 month rule is the kind of thing that sounds good until you actually start going through your stuff. But here's what I want to know: are you counting the stuff you keep for specific events, like that one nice jacket for funerals or a wedding you might get invited to? Because I feel like that's where people cheat the system and end up with a whole second closet of "special occasion" junk. Did you end up actually getting rid of most of those 30 shirts, or did you talk yourself into keeping a few "classics" that you still haven't touched?
