I finally stopped saving duplicates because of one dumb stat

Honestly, I read that the average person owns 12 duplicates of the same exact item, like pens and chargers. That hit me because I counted my phone cables and had 9. Ngl, it made me realize I was hoarding backups for stuff that never breaks, so I donated all but 2 and haven't missed a single one. Has anyone else tried a similar count and gotten rid of stuff?

That's a real wake up call when you actually count, I did the same with lighters and felt a little silly after.
